Or there's also the AC511M, which I'm 98% certain works everywhere that the AE515M does, if you'd prefer that Yes, the C to A cable included with some Dell displays, apparently including that one, is designed for connecting to desktops that might lack a USB-C port. They've very recently switched to a design that attaches magnetically to the display panel itself, but that doesn't apply to their 2020 model year displays like yours.) So if you plan to use the display on its factory stand, then that soundbar should work. (Also note that for this generation of displays, Dell designed the soundbar to attach to the stand, which became an issue for anyone using their Dell displays with alternate mounting solutions. The AE515M's list of compatible displays doesn't include the U2720Q(M), but that isn't that uncommon. The U2720Q and U2720QM share a common manual, and the U2720Q's product page shows the AE515M soundbar mounted to its stand. It’s probably easier to just buy a soundbar that's actually compatible with your display. But in this case you would need one that had a variety of receptacles, one of which matched the plug from the sound bar that you wanted to power from this adapter. But typically the universal power adapters I’m referring to come with an attached cord and a variety of tips that you can attach in order to match the power receptacle of whatever device you’re trying to power. In theory if you got a universal power adapter that connected to a wall socket and accepted the barrel connector of the same physical diameter as the soundbar, AND could be set to provide the voltage expected by the soundbar (which should be printed somewhere on it), then you could use that for power and connect the 3.5 mm audio connector either to your display’s output jack or your PC directly. Newer Dell displays don’t have the corresponding power jack for that.
